The Jerusalem District Court sentenced 19-year-old Moussa Abu-Khadir of the capital's Shuafat neighborhood to 18 months in jail, Sunday, for throwing rocks at the Jerusalem light rail last August.

Judge Amnon Cohen wrote in his decision that throwing the rocks at the train constituted not only a breach of public order, but said it could disruptions of all traffic around the city. He added, "City fathersand residentswaitedmany yearsfor the arrival oflight railandthey must be allowed to use thetrainwithout fearfor their safety."
