The Al-Quds Brigades of the military wing of Islamic Jihad said, Friday, it was behind the pre-dawn shootout near the Kissufim Crossing that took the life of 21-year-old First Sergeant Netanel Moshiashvili of Ashkelon. The group said it sent Ahmed Nasr of Absan Al-Kabira, near Khan Younis, to carry out the attack to mark the fifth anniversary of the elimination of senior Al-Quds Brigades member Fahdi Abu-Mustafa in Khan Younis.
