Report: Weinstein Slams Lindenstrauss on Harpaz Case

Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein has sent State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss a sharply-worded letter following Lindenstrauss's recommendation to deepen the criminal investigation into the Harpaz Document case, according to a Thursday evening report by Channel 2 television. The case resolves around a document allegedly forged by Reserves Lieutenant Colonel Boaz Harpaz in 2010 to influence the selection of a successor to former chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi of the Israel Defense Forces.

Calling Lindenstrauss "wrong and misleading", Weinstein said no claims of criminal aspects of the case were made at any point during contacts between the two offices. He also accused the comptroller of not submitting his report as required, namely submitting investigation materials, accompanied by a recommendation.
