The Torah scrolls that were burned last weekend in a fire that broke out at the Etz Chaim synagogue in Kiryat Ono will be buried on Thursday at the Yarkon Cemetery.
The head of the Religious Council of Kiryat Ono, Yoav Cohen, told Arutz Sheva, “Tomorrow we will hold an awakening and lamentations gathering in the courtyard of the synagogue, starting at four o'clock and until a quarter to seven. The Torah scrolls will be placed in earthenware pots and will be brought to be buried at the Yarkon Cemetery.”
Cohen said that the gathering will be attended by Kiryat Ono Rabbi Rav Ratzon Arusi, Israel’s Chief Rabbis Rav Shlomo Moshe Amar and Rav Yona Metzger and former chief rabbis.
