An Israeli artist has won the first International Reggae Poster Contest , it was announced this week. Alon Braier won for his entry entitled "Roots of Dub." The theme of the contest was "Toward a Reggae Hall of Fame: Celebrating Great Jamaican Music." The second and third place winners were from Turkey and Italy respectively. According to the contest website, there were a total of 1,142 submissions from 80 countries.
