Hamas is the dominant terrorist group in Judea and Samaria, and carries out more than 50% of the attacks in the region, the Shin Bet head said Wednesday, speaking to the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. The group is particularly interested in kidnapping Israeli citizens, and has made at least 18 attempts to do so, he reported.
The recent trend in Judea and Samaria terrorism has been toward the use of “cold” weapons such as rocks and knives, he said.
