Hunger Strike over ‘Mini Disengagement’

Two residents of Amona have begun a hunger strike over what they termed a “mini Disengagement” in Judea and Samaria. The two, Rabbi Yair Frankel and Yehuda Yifrach, called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu “not to be an Arik Sharon 2 and expel Jews from their homes.”

They called to pass a law that will stop the demolition of Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria in cases where Palestinian Authority Arabs claim land ownership. The law would determine that in cases where a community has already been built and then ownership is claimed, the land owner would get monetary compensation in place of demolition.
