Plot to Kidnap for Prisoner Release Disclosed

It was disclosed, Tuesday, that at the beginning of May, the Shabak Israel Security Agency (ISA) discovered a terror cell of the "Holy Warriors Brigade" that was planning to abduct an Israeli citizen for use as a bargaining chip for the release of imprisoned terrorists. The Shin Bet said the terrorists were active in Hevron and Gaza and that some had been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The ISA noted that recently, after exposing the involvement of terrorists in the case, prisoner leaders signed a pledge to avoid any terrorist activity in prison, acknowledging that such activity could likely result in cancellation of relaxation or easing of their conditions.
