Sales were up 6.5 percent and operating administrative profit was up nine percent, according to the first 2012 quarterly report of the Strauss food group, published on Monday. The report reflected lower gross operating profit.

Chairwoman Ofra Strauss said, "Strauss Group continues to strengthen its future growth engines, improve the company's competitive position and increase market share, while continuing streamlining processes, improvements and carrying out organizational adjustments in the company."
