Member of Knesset Miri Regev (Likud) filed a complaint, Sunday, with the Knesset officer in charge of complaints by elected officials, following the posting of a picture of her in a Nazi uniform on the Facebook social networking Website. Writing on her own Facebook page, She called the photograph "extreme incitement against me which goes beyond all borders," and called for police involvement.
During the day, MK Regev apologized for her remarks against Sudanese, whom she had called a "cancer". In her Facebook posting, she wrote, "I meant the image of a phenomenon - the phenomenon of infiltrators pervading the land. At no point did I compare cancer to human beings." She added, I understand incitementagainst meandtryingto paintmy wordsnotas I said, because they alwaysagitated againstrightist leaders. When YitzchakRabinspoke of theGush Emunimas cancer, andthe head of Peace Nowtalks about settlementin Judea and Samaria like cancer, it's apparently permissibleand in order."
