Talks between Iran and Western powers over its nuclear development program will continue during the next three weeks in Moscow, according to the Islamic Republic's Mehr news agency. Mehr cited diplomats attending Thursday talks in Baghdad, which were described as serious.
During a private meeting with foreign-policy chief Catherine Ashton of the European Union, chief Iranian negotiator Saeed Jalili expressed dissatisfaction at the Western offer that uranium enriched to 20 percent be removed from Iran. Iranian negotiators demanded a relaxation in sanctions against the program. which the Tehran government claims is purely peaceful, despite mounting evidence that the military has been involved.
