      El Al Reports Losses Cut by 45%


      El Al reports that its losses have been cut by 45%, to $23 million in the first quarter of 2012. The significant savings are due to dismissals, among other causes.

      Passenger plane usage rose to 81%, vs. 77% at the same time last year.
