According to the new agreement between the Rabbis of Tzohar and the Chief Rabbinate, Tzohar Rabbis will be authorized to register marriages across Israel by the choice of the couple without limitation. The Knesset will vote on the agreement Thursday.

Until now, an individual Rabbi could officiate only in the area of his jurisdiction.
