Residents of the Ulpena neighborhood of Beit El plan to travel to the Knesset Wednesday to watch MKs decide their future. The Knesset is planning to vote on a bill to create an alternative to demolition in cases where Palestinian Authority Arabs claim ownership of land on which Israeli homes were built years earlier.
“We will all come, women and children too. Among us will be bereaved families whose loved ones’ murderers the government released for political and social reasons,” said a statement from the neighborhood.
“We are sure that the ministers and Members of Knesset will vote for the law and will prevent the demolition of the Ulpena neighborhood,” the statement said.
