Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday that he does not regret statements he made about MK Ahmed Tibi despite having been reprimanded by the Ethics Committee. Lieberman had called not to cooperate with a Knesset Committee headed by Tibi on the integration of Arabs in public service.
“The committee has become MK Tibi’s private committee, and its main purpose is to give him an office and spokespeople,” Lieberman accused. “The committee has no interest in Israeli Arabs’ situation and even does everything to prevent their integration in Israeli society.”
“Tibi’s sole goal is to undermine relations between Arab citizens of Israel and the rest of the population, and nobody should cooperate with him,” he added.
