Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest to moderate gains in the opening minutes of trading, Tuesday morning. The TA Composite index stood at 976.80, up .92 percent from Monday's close, while the TA 100 rose .98 percent to 986.68, including an rise of .97 percent to 1,074.66 by the Maof 25 most-widely-held issues.
Leading the way were most of technology stocks, which rose 1.95 percent to 331.18, while the biomed index opened at 741.99, up 1.11 percent. The communications and media stocks stood at 479.93, up 1.81 percent, while the bank issues rose 1.2 percent to 943.28 as the financial institutions traded at 862.79, up 1.02 percent, including a .52 percent advance to 962.40 by the insurance stocks. The real estate index rose nine tenths of a percent to 280.19, while the oil and natural gas stocks declined .52 percent to 1,171.03.
