Turkish police arrested three people, Monday, on suspicion of involvement in a plot to kidnap a Syrian officer who found political asylum there. The officer was living in a tent city near the Turkish-Syrian border.

According to the chief prosecutor in the Hatay province of southern Turkey, an investigation was opened when police were informed of the plot.
