IAEA officials said Monday that they felt that Iran may be ready to display a more open attitude to the idea of international inspectors monitoring their nuclear program. Speaking after meeting with Iranian officials, IAEA head Yukiya Amano said that he had discussed with Iran's representative Sa'id Jalili “an expansion of cooperation.” No further details about the meeting were released.
Amano arrived in Tehran on Monday for talks with Iranian officials on "issues of mutual interest and a closer cooperation" between Iran and the IAEA, the organization said in a statement.
