United Jerusalem as Israel's Capital Not Clear to Many

Science Minister Daniel Hershkowitz said, Sunday evening, that there is a serious failure in Israeli education, when it is not clear to many people that a unified Jerusalem is not only part of the state of Israel, but is the capital of Israel and the Jewish people.

Speaking at a Jerusalem Day ceremony in the northern Mediterranean coast city of Nahariya, the chairman of the Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) said that unfortunately, in many places in Israel, Jerusalem Day is not celebrated in an appropriate way and this constitutes a hothouse for leftist political sources such as Meretz, which openly call for its cancellation. They see the realization of our sovereignty in the capital of Israel as a provocation and the celebration of Jerusalem Unification Day is anathema to them.
