Tens of thousands are expected to attend the Jezreel Valley's 12th annual Milk and Honey Festival, which is scheduled to start, Sunday evening. The weeklong event will focus on agriculture, nature, tradition and love of the land, with activities for the whole family.
The festival will start with a tour of the Settlement Museum in Yif'at, accompanied by stories and songs of the pre-state pioneers. On Monday night there will be a concert, featuring a number of artists, in the Nahalal amphitheater. On Tuesday, the Habima Theater will perform a new musical based on the songs of popular singer Danny Sanderson in the Yif'at Regional Auditorium. A number of parallel events are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evening. On Friday morning there will be a bicycle race for singles. Following the Tikun Leil Shavuot study sessions and the Shavu'ot holiday on Saturday night and Sunday, leading Israeli artists will take the stage at the Nahalal ampitheater on Sunday evening to sing the songs of the Gashash Hachiver comedy troupe.
