Prices dropped moderately in mixed trading, Sunday, at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. The TA Composite index declined .79 percent to 971.95 while the TA 100 closed at 981.46, down .74 percent, including a .83 percent drop to 1,072.77 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit were communications and media stocks, which dived 3.28 percent to 470.98, followed by most of the technology index, which closed at 325.66, down 2.35 percent, and the biomed issues, which fell 1.18 percent to 729.32. The oil and natural gas stocks finished the day at 1,174.10, down .52 percent. Leading the gainers was the insurance index, which rose 1.21 percent to 956.33 as the financial institutions picked up .55 percent to close at 849.98, including a 1.08 percent increase to 929.33 by the bank issues. The real estate stocks closed at 273.33, up .89 percent.
