The ruler of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, said Sunday that the “Arab Spring” had isolated Israel, and that Jerusalem would no longer be able to withstand the mounting pressures in a number of areas, including allowing foreign inspectors into its nuclear facilities. The fall of Egypt's Hosni Mubarak had basically eliminated the one country Israel could count as an ally in the Arab world, and now all governments in the region would press Israel to come to a settlement with the PA and allow UN officials to inspect its nuclear program, he said in an interview.

Al Thani made the comments during a session of the Doha Forum, considered a key policy making summit in the Arab world.
