At a memorial ceremony for members of the Ethiopian Jewish community who died on the way to Israel, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that the State would do everything possible to ensure their absorption. “There is no place for racism, and certainly not for boycotts, not in the State of Israel, and not for any of its citizens.”


The 28th of the Hebrew month of Iyar is not only Jerusalem Unification Day – it is also the day chosen to commemorate the deaths of members of the Ethiopian community who died on their way to Israel.
