Responding to the reported optimism among Western officials over the talks with Iran next week on limiting its nuclear program, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that he was not as optimistic. “We have no fantasies on Iran's plans and its nuclear program. The talks are just an attempt by them to fool the West and gain more development time. We will, nevertheless, keep track of the talks and state our position based on their conclusion.”
Lieberman made the comments at a meeting with U.S. internal security director Janet Napolitano, who is visiting Israel.
