Elections to the political bureau of Hamas and the bureau's leadership are expected to end in ten days, according to a Thursday report by the London-based Arabic newspaper Ash-Sharq Il-Awsat.

Senior Hamas official Ahmed Yussef told the newspaper that current politbureau chief Khaled Mashaal is expected to retain the position he has held since 1996.
