Raid on Missionary House in Ashkelon Welcomed

Shim'on Cohen of the Ashkelon city council welcomed, Thursday, a raid by police on Wednesday, in which missionary material was seized at an apartment on Olei Hagardom Street in the city's Shimshon neighborhood. Police were responding to information provided by the anti-missionary group Yad L'Achim.

Interviewed by Arutz Sheva's Hebrew service, Cohen - who witnessed the raid - said, "I received a frantic phone call from a friend who told me about a group of missionaries who came to the neighborhood and distributed missionary material from the apartment." He continued, "We called the Ashkelon Police, who arrived within three minutes."
