U.S. Gives Israel $70 Million for Iron Dome Purchases

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta of the United States informed Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Thursday, that the U.S. will make an immediate grant of $70 million available to Israel to equip itself with the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system. The U.S. has already given Israel $205 million for Iron Dome and Panetta said he would work to get more significant funding approved in the upcoming budget year.
