Dr. Guy Maoz, older brother of Daniel Maoz who is accused of murdering his parents, told Channel 2 News on Wednesday that he refuses to visit his brother in jail and speak to him.
Dr. Maoz, who came to Israel from the United States specifically to be present at his brother’s trial, said, “Not a day passes that I do not go over this picture of my parents, my dad waking up and seeing Danny with a knife and my mother coming down the stairs and seeing what she saw. It is very difficult."
He added, “The first thing that went through my mind was: ‘Please let it not be Danny,’ because we knew he had connections with the criminal world and my biggest fear was that he would get in debt. The worst-case scenario I could think of is that he sent people to hurt my parents.”
