MK Taleb A-Sana slammed MK Alex Miller on Wednesday over his proposal to ban “Nakba Day” events on university campuses. “Nakba” (lit. disaster) is the term the Arab world uses to describe the creation of Israel.
“These proposals bring about an opposite effect,” he said. “They strengthen the Palestinian position, and put the subject of the Nakba on the international agenda.”
“As they say,” he added, paraphrasing a Jewish expression, “the work of the righteous is done by racists.”
