Elbit reported, Tuesday, that income from the first quarter of the fiscal year rose about 11 percent from $620.3 million in 2011 to $690.8 million in 2012. The leading source for the income was the company's aviation systems.

The gross profit for the first quarter of 2012 was $195.8 million or 28.3 percent, compared to 29.9 percent or $185.6 million, last year.
