Communications Minister Moshe Kachlon on Monday welcomed the new competitors in Israel's cellphone market. Kachlon said that that the new services would reduce bills for customers by hundreds of shekels a month, and that this was good news for consumers.

The web site of one of the new services, Golan Tikshoret, crashed on Monday night because too many people were trying to access it. Golan Tikshoret is offering a package that provides unlimited local calls, unlimited text (SMS) messaging, and unlimited internet surfing on 3G devices for NIS 99 a month.
