The Foreign Ministry on Monday rejected the condemnation of the European Union of Israel's ongoing construction efforts in Judea and Samaria. The condemnation was based on a partial consideration of the facts, and was one-sided. Such condemnations do not contribute to the peace process, the Ministry said in a statement.
Speaking Monday evening, Danny Dayan, the Chairman of the Yesha Regional Council, said that the EU was mistaken if it thought that its condemnation was going to halt construction in Judea and Samaria. “It's time that the EU realized that Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria are flourishing, and that they will continue. This is a fact that cannot be changed,” he said.
