Confrontations broke out, Monday at Tel Aviv University, between extreme left-wing activists, who observe Israel Independence Day on the secular calendar from the hostile Arab perspective of Nakba (catastrophe) Day, and and right wingers who demonstrated against the observances.

Two people were arrested during the course of the clashes.
