A study by Haifa University's law studies department shows that 70% of the cases that are adjudicated in Israeli district courts, which handle major criminal cases, end in a conviction of some sort. Out of those convicted, however, 86% agree to a plea bargain, and that is, according to the study, the most popular way for courts to dispose of cases. The other 30% of cases are dismissed for lack of evidence or technical issues.
In all courts, the average number of defendants who are found innocent after going through a trial is about half a percent.
