On Saturday, two Turkish journalists who went missing while reporting on the uprising in Syria two months ago were released with Iran's assistance according to Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Iran's part in the deal shows its influence with its ally Syria, which lost Turkey's friendship last year when it cracked down on pro-deomcracy protests. The two journalists were flown to Tehran. They told Turkey's Anatolian news agency that they were in good health.
