Over the past year, attempts have been made to create a Jewish community in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Jerusalem. A long-term Jewish resident of the neighborhood told Arutz Sheva that he welcomes the initiative.
“There is a lot of land here, and bringing Jews to live here is a matter of national importance,” said Eli Gorodtzer, who has lived in Beit Hanina for 23 years along with a handful of other Jewish families. The first new families to move to the area will be called crazy, he said, but eventually people will see that they were right.
