The Yisrael Beiteinu faction welcomed, Tuesday, the cancellation of early elections caused by the addition of the Kadima party to the ruling coalition. In a statement the facton said the stability in government created by the move will allow it "to deal with the national challenges before us, including passage of induction-for-all legislation, changing the system of government, and additional security and economic matters...."
The statement continued, "Israel Beitenumade it clearfrom the startthat it is readyfor electionsat any timebut thenational interest requires elections as scheduled.IsraelBeiteinusees thereal testofthe extendedcoalition as applying thecompulsory service law to everyoneand we hopethat the coalitionwill formulate, as soon as possible, a lawheraldingreal changeon the subjectand notanother versionof theTal law."
