Photographs of Kibbutz Sa'ad in the western Negev are being displayed at the SaatchiGalleryin Londonand will become part of an exhibit entitled 'Out ofFocus:Photography after they placed second out of 20,000 entries from 146 countries in the Google Plus Competition Plus international photography contest. The contest is designed to give photography students a chance to display their works on the international stage. There is another Israeli track, attached to the InternationalPhotographyFestivalin Jaffa.
The pictures were taken by AdiSasson, who is studyingphotographyanddigital mediaat the School ofEngineering of Sapir College, near Sderot. She said, "I tooknightshotswith long exposuresin Kibbutz Sa'ad,whereI livenow,I went outevery nightwith the camera,quietly,peacefully.Andjustphotographedthe buildings, the quiet at night."
