Photographs of Kibbutz Sa'ad in the western Negev are being displayed at the Saatchi Gallery in London and will become part of an exhibit entitled 'Out of Focus: Photography after they placed second out of 20,000 entries from 146 countries in the Google Plus Competition Plus international photography contest. The contest is designed to give photography students a chance to display their works on the international stage. There is another Israeli track, attached to the International Photography Festival in Jaffa.
The pictures were taken by Adi Sasson, who is studying photography and digital media at the School of Engineering of Sapir College, near Sderot. She said, "I took night shots with long exposures in Kibbutz Sa'ad, where I live now, I went out every night with the camera, quietly, peacefully. And just photographed the buildings, the quiet at night."
