Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said, Monday, that during the Knesset's election recess - expected to start Monday evening or Tuesday - private legislation will only be considered with the approval of all the factions. Government-sponsored legislation may be considered during the break without said approval.
Speaking during a meeting of the Knesset presidium, Rivlin said a consensus committee will be formed to determine which private bills are considered. It will consist of the outgoing coalition chairman and the chairman of the largest opposition party.
