Elkin Expects Knesset to Disband Today

The Knesset is scheduled to start, Monday afternoon, a fast-track process for a bill to disband, which will probably pass Monday evening or Tuesday, resulting in the start of an election recess. The bill has been introduced as government legislation to save procedural time.

Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Coalition Chairman Ze'ev Elkin said, Monday, that he believes the process will be finished Monday evening. He said attempts to delay the dispersion of the parliament to pass military-national service reform were vain propaganda.
