Likud Vote Delayed due to Secret Ballot Request

Voting for the Chairmanship of the Likud Central Committee was delayed, Sunday evening, following a request that the election be by secret ballot.

A party spokeswoman said, "The Likud is an open and democratic movement which works according to an orderly constitution. The demand to hold secret elections came after the start of the meeting, and because the Likud administration was not properly prepared for secret balloting, the elections will be held at a later time, as befits a democratic party like the Likud."
