Flagdance Organizers to Take Case to Supreme Court

Ya'akov Novik, one of the organizers of the Flagdance (Rikudegalim) parade, scheduled for Jerusalem Day, told Arutz Sheva, Sunday evening, that organizers will petition the High Court of Justice for permission to enter the capital's Old City through all its gates. Reacting to the police decision to limit the march to entering via the Jaffa Gate, Novik said, "In recent years the police have increased the difficulties and reduced the options and does not want to let us pass by the eastern part of the city this year."

He continued, "We told them that if they will not let us hold the Flagdance, we will hold a protest in front of the national [police] headquarters and they don't want to let us do that either, so we will turn to the Supreme Court."
