Report: Eisner to be Deputy Commander at Training Base

Lieutenant Colonel Shalom Eisner, who was dismissed as deputy commander of the Jordan Valley Brigade after he was seen striking a Danish demonstrator in a video, will be named a deputy commander of the Center for Tactical Training at the Israel Defense Forces' Tze'elim base in southern Israel, according to the Ma'ariv daily. He will be responsible for training infantry and armor battalions, among others, using vehicles that simulate the battlefield.

Staying in the army despite the cancellation of an appointment to a similar position at Training Base 1 and suspension from command positions for two years, Eisner told Tze'elim commander Avi Ashkenazi that he wanted to contribute from his experience, a claim backed up by his willingness to accept the post.
