Pro-Judea and Samaria Bill Rejected by Knesset

The Knesset rejected the preliminary reading of a bill that would have all Jewish communities located in Judea and Samaria fall under full Israeli law. The bill was submitted by Member of Knesset Yaakov Katz, the chairman of the National Union Party. Such a law could in theory make it much harder for the IDF civil administration to evict and bulldoze houses in Jewish communities. The bill was rejected in its preliminary reading.
