May 18th to be ‘Clean the Land Day’

A group of activists has declared May 18th to be “Clean the Land Day,” and is working to sign up participants across the country. “Sign up and we’ll send you an information packet with instructions on what to do on the actual trash pickup day, trash bags, and protective gloves,” they say.

The program has three goals: to keep Israel clean, to teach communities about environmental protection, and to help participants reconnect to the land.
