The Counter-Terrorism Bureau has decided after an assessment to reduce the level of the travel warning for visiting Turkey. The travel warning is now set at the lowest out of four levels. The Counter-Terrorism Bureau stated that the warning will remain in effect because there are "ongoing threats for attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets. Accordingly, the Counter-Terrorism Bureau's recommendation is to avoid non-essential visits to Turkey, or at least to take precautions and special vigilance."
