The Israel Defense Forces discovered six pipe bombs along the western Samarian security fence in the area of Hirbath Ras At-Tira, southeast of Kalkilye, near Israel's narrowest point, prior to the Six-Day War.

The devices were detonated in a controlled fashion by army sappers.
