Next Elections will Cost NIS 400 Million

Chairman Moshe Gafni of the Knesset Finance Committee said, Monday morning, that the cost of the next Knesset election will cost about 400 million shekels. The statement came against the backdrop of talk that coalition politics may lead to elections being held earlier than scheduled.

Gafni did not express an opinion for or against changing the scheduled but said there are a number of reforms that will not be addressed if the Knesset's summer session is shortened to accomodate elections.
