Three people arrested, Sunday evening, in clashes with police in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, were released Monday morning, according to the Honenu legal-aid organization. The clashes broke out after police broke into the home of a local rabbi who is known as an activist, to arrest him for not appearing for a court hearing on suspicion that he went illegally to the uprooted northern Samarian Jewish community of Homesh.
The rabbi claims he never received a summons to appear in court. Honenu said it will seek to cancel the arrest warrant Monday morning.
