Prices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed higher, Sunday in mixed trading. The TA Composite index rose .13 percent to 1,055.40, while the TA 100 finished the day at 1,066.27, up .12 percent, including a .17 percent rise to 1,164.89 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Leading the way were the communications and media stocks, which rose 1.46 percent to 633.10, followed by the insurance index, which closed at 1,066.22, up .51 percent, with the same percentage increase meaning a 938.00 close for the financial institutions, including a .32 percent advance to 1015.13 by the bank issues. The biomed stocks rose .05 percent to 802.61, while the rest of the technology index declined a quarter of a percent to 340.33. The real estate issues slipped .07 percent to 294.77, while the oil and natural gas stocks closed at 1,250.94, down .71 percent.
